Life is always full of projects, some see the light of day, some just remain in our imaginary. I got plenty of those but unfortunately my wallet and life is not directly proportionate to my dreams!
Just bought a 1956 BMW R50 project, completely dismantled but I can see the potential here. Unfortunately quite a few parts are missing and the metalwork needs a fair amount of work.
Weighing all my options, I'm considering turning this bike in a gleaming Pearl Apple Candy Bobber, commonly seen in the Fifties or perhaps a Cafe Racer (sacrilege).
There's no need for massive modifications. A few discerning touches and a design lines clean up should turn it into a stunning machine.
Watch this space!
This bike most likely will turn into a pukka Cafe Racer, similar to my other bikes albeit in a Candy Green coulour (still pondering) equipped with my most radically tuned engine, I'm targetting 100BHP, no turbos, just N/A!
Now, pass me the those NASCAR titanium valves and some small block Chevy forged rods!
A 1970, Dick Mann Daytona winner, Honda CR750 replica, love the sound, the performance and that curvaceous bodywork with its howling four silencers!
To kickstart the project, I've just bought a K5 with double discs in the front and with spare original wire wheels. Later, I've purchased an 1977 F1 and a K3 for spares.
Not exactly cheap these piles of junk but these bikes are starting to be sought after, even the CB750F1 with its ungainly looks, compared with the earlier K series.
Now, any howling four silencers in matt black going cheap?
