BMW Cafe Racer Fairings

This fairing was developed by us using the Ducati Bevel design from the Seventies as a base but featuring a "frenched in" headlight opening, ideal for 8" or the BMW/Bosch 215mm headlights. Made of GRP, finished in glossy white. It includes a pre-trimmed, pre-drilled and mated acrylic screen. It also includes our own design acrylic headlight cover, laser cut, pre-drilled and mated to the fairing, providing an elegant and neat flush aerodynamic fitting. This solution also provides a degree of protection from road debris and stone chips that can crack the expensive headlight glass.

It includes all the necessary fitting brackets including a spider web bracket designed by us to fit the BMW R2v frames. The assembly kit also includes all the necessary stainless steel fasteners, special nylon cup washers and rubber washers plus a rubber edge trim to stop abrasion between the fairing and the screen. This new fairing is very sturdy, thick (typically between 4 to 6mm), it will not flex or shake at speed. Very well finished with a fairly smooth surface inside (we use GRP surface mat for a better finish) with our usual attention to details so no air bubbles, cracks, frayed edges etc.

Similar to the Ducati 750/900SS Bevel design from the Seventies with a 195mm headlight opening for the most commom round 7" headlights. Made of GRP, finished in glossy white. It includes a pre-trimmed, pre-drilled and mated acrylic screen plus our own design acrylic headlight cover, laser cut, pre-drilled and mated to the specially developed recess for the cover on the fairing, providing an elegant and neat flush fitting. It is the ideal fairing kit to fit on bikes equipped with 7" headlights such as the R45/65 Series.

Inspired by the old Sixties racing Manx fairings, we've developed and refined the lines of this Avon old design, presenting now sharper and more symmetrical lines, especilly around the screen. Made of GRP, finished in glossy white. It includes a pre-trimmed, pre-drilled and mated acrylic screen and as the fairing is produced in a split mould, it allow the fitting of clocks and gauges on its full dash. The iconic BMW R90S cockpit fairing, the first fairing to be fitted on a mass produced motorcycle from the manufacturer (discounting the small numbers of Vincent Black Prince and the Ariel Leader), it inspired countless designs including Guzzi LeMans, Kawasaki Z1R, Suzuki GS1000S etc, etc.

This kit is designed to fit any BMW R2v Series keeping a low cost (this kit is seriously expensive from BMW, at over £750 and not all parts are available or included!) and with a bit of thought, has been applied to other makes and models such as BMW R8v series, Moto Guzzis and even Ducati Monsters.

The cover can be replaced by a numbered racing roundel!

Not the usual rubbish full of cracks, air bubbles etc. Economical alternative to the cockpit and top fairings, it still provides a degree of wind protection and looks good in the process.

ABS plastic small cockpit fairing, finished in high gloss black so no need for further painting if black is your choice. Complete with a pre trimmed and pre-drilled dark tint screen plus it includes a fitting kit that uses your existing headlight brackets.

We have included in this kit our own high quality stainless steel fasteners kit that includes rubber and special black nylon cup washers plus a rubber edge seal that stops brasion between fairing and screen.

Fits on 7" or smaller headlight. Excellent value for money and a economical alternative to the larger cockpit and top fairings, it still provides a degree of wind protection and looks good in the process.

These are trimmed and cut from blank bubbles by us and take several hours to prepare hence the higher cost. BMW R90S ccockpit fairing clear, standard size screen, it will fit all the BMW original fairings and our own replicas. Pre-trimmed and pre-drilled for fitting accuracy. Other options include flip oversize (3"), light or dark grey tint at additional cost, please contact us with your requirements.

Universal fitting, highly polished chrome headlight brackets, adjustable, fits forks between 30 to 38mm (approx). Complete with cuttable inner rubbers for optimum fit and vibration free. We use these brackets on our R90S cockpit fairing, modified to accept the BMW LH ignition switch. Other sizes available by request, please enquire.

Universal fitting, chrome headlight brackets, complete with zinc plated small fairing brackets. Adjustable, fits forks between 28 to 36mm (approx) although we did manage to fit on 38.5mm BMW forks with a bit of ingenuity. These are ideal if fitting a small fairing or fly screen to your bike or new brackets can be fabricated and attached to the headlight side brackets on their slotted nounting holes, offering great scope for adjustment. We use these brackets on our FlyScreens, modified to accept the BMW LH ignition switch. Insulating rubbers are available at extra cost, please contact us with your equirements.

Universal fitting zinc plated small fairing brackets. Adjustable, fits existting headlight brackets and can be used to fit many different small cockpit fairings or fly screens with a bit of ingenuity as these offer great scope for adjustment.

High quality polished cast alloy headlight brackets, similar to the old Ceriani types seen in the Sixties.
Will fit forks stanchion sizing from 35mm to 41mm using the plastic sleeves provided. We can also supply rubber sleeves at additional cost if required. Side mounting holes of 10mm so most headlights can be fitted. If fitting a 8" BMW headlight pre 85, we can enlarge the LH bracket to 22mm to accept the original pivot bolt or ignition switch barrel at no extra cost.

Our own spider web bracket, outstanding quality and finish. Very sturdy, made of fullyt welded thick laser cut metal plates with provision for the BMW 22mm LH headlight pmount/ignition switch barrel. It bolts on post 76 frames (bar the GS/ST and R45/65 frames) exactly as the original RS/RT spider web using the two exisiting M8x1.00mm mounting holes on the steering head.

For bikes without these mounting holes, a U clamp can be supplied at no extra cost, this will enable you to fit this bracket without modifications to the frame. Complete with adjustable and removable chrome plated side brackets.
