FlatRacer's Bikes
The Shed
BMW R100RS 1980 vintage, called "The Shed" as it was really only fit for scrapyard when I found it, what a mess!
Fully restored, no expense spared, transformed in a striking Cafe Racer, finished in a unique Pearl Electric Blue, especially formulated for this bike.
Engine has been seriously massaged for performance, with a 336 cam, blue printed piston/rods assembly, bigger jets. lightweight flywheel, smoothed inlet/exhaust ports etc.
It certainly is fast! It pulls wheelies in second gear!

The Blaxer
BMW R100RT from 1979, which I nick named "The Blaxer", meaning it's BLAck and it's a boXER.
Quite a sweet bike and bought in fairly good condition although cosmetically tired. Nevertheless, it suffered a full restoration, no expense spared. It is finished in a metallic pearl Black Cosmos, a BMW colour (303), which is absolutely dazzling in real!
With a rebuilt engine developping 70BHP and equipped with the original heavier flywheel, The Blaxer truly is fast yet refined and smooth, pulling strongly all the way to +125mph!

The Copper
BMW R80 RT TIC, from 1983, ex-Police bike that I given a new lease of life, hopefully as exciting as the previous. Named "The Copper" as a allusion to being an Police Specification bike (COP) and being COPPERy Orange in colour, specifically formulated for this bike.
Some say this is the sweetest engine from the Airhead range and I do believe it. With 800cc and 55BHP, smaller carbs (32mm) and lightweight flywheel, it is truly the best of both worlds, smooth and quick accelerating.
Fully restored, no expense spared, fitted with the unique FlatRacer kit, it draws admiring attention everywhere it goes. It is a bike full of caracther and kudos.
